Centerline 2100 Series motor control centers
are the newest offering from Allen Bradley. Centers are available for a
wide range of applications and environments. Centralized modular motor
control has proven to be more cost effective than stand alone
combination motor starters and offer the added advantage of similar (same brand)
replacement parts for all units. Motor control centers can
incorporate standard NEMA (national electrical manufacturers
association) rated starters as well as IEC units.
The vertical
sections are broken down into 6 inch increments and use modular cubicle
bucket inserts. NEMA Size 1-5 magnetic motor starter combinations
(circuit breaker and fusible), reduced voltage soft starting (solid
state, wye delta, part winding, auto transformer) PLC (programmable
logic controllers) and lighting panels are available as inserts. The Centerline motor control centers feature
a vertical bus that provides unlimited unit insert
arrangements which
are
connected to a central horizontal bus. This helps optimize temperature
distribution inside the centerline MCC as well as convenient bus
splicing. More details below
